Best Medicare Health Plans

What is the best way to make the most of Medicare health benefits? Well, if we were all alike I could answer the question. Obviously every Medicare recipient has different expectations and needs.

However Medicare health plans were created for senior citizens and disabled people in many different situations. A senior citizen who is very picky about their choice of doctors and can afford a medicare supplement would not want the same Medicare health plan as a chronically ill individual who had a very tight budget. However, a tight budget or specific health needs do not need to exclude a suitable Medicare health plan.

The Best Medicare health Plan for you will depend upon You! Learn more about finding a great plan for your own situation, and also find free online information about Medicare health benefits.

Extended Auto Warranties

One purchase I made along with my new car that I never had cause to regret was an extended auto warranty. Now, at the time, I got mine at the dealer. Now, I have found that you do not need to buy them at the dealership. In fact, extended auto warranties can cost much less if you buy them directly from the company because you are not paying dealer commissions.

Here are some benefits of an extended auto warranty!

Save thousands on costly repairs
0% interest-free financing
You choose the repair location
24 hour roadside assistance, rental benefits, extended towing benefits
We pay the repair bills, not you

You can imagine that car ac or major engine repair will make you happy that you've chosen to pay for a little protection up front!

Texas Medicare and Chronic Health Plans

I read an interesting article on a Texas Medicare Site which probably applies nationwide. It would be of great internet if you are on Medicare Part A and B, or if you are a caregiver for a Medicare covered person.

It applies to seniors, and others on Medicare, who have chronic health conditions like diabetes, congestive heart failure, COPD, dementia, etc. The individuals could still be living on their own, in assisted living, or in a nursing home. Apparently, specialized health plans exist to care for Medicare covered people in these different situations, and with chronic care conditions. Some plans even help out the caregivers!

If you are on Medicare and are disabled, or have a chronic health problem, OR if you are the caregiver for somebody like this, be sure and read about Medicare and Chronic Health Conditions.

Workers Compensation Insurance

I found a workers compensation insurance website which promises to be a handy resource for workers and businessmen. It looks like a work in progress right now, but so far have some general outlines and the state of Texas Workers Compensation Department Office.

I know that the Department of Labor has some contact information, but since workers comp is usually state specific, it's good to have a place to find individual state workers compensation information.

The Business Insurance Store also has Workmans Compensation Insurance Information online.

Is your Home or Car Insurance Company Still A Good Neighbor?

Is Your Insurance Company Pulling Out?

The word is out that Allstate is pulling out of Virgina and other coastal states. Apparently changine climate conditions have made these places a poor risk. I'm not sure if other companies have pulled out lately, and if this effects home insurance only - or car insurance as well.

Anyway, if you have gotten a termination notice from your own insurance company, you may need to do some quick insurance shopping. Remember, you are protecting some of your biggest investments - your home and your car - the place you live, and your transportation -- so try not to make your decision impulsively or in a panic.

If rates have gone up, look for multiple policy discounts. Auto home discounts, or having more than one car insurance policy with the same company may help out some. If that still doesn't shave enough off the rate, find out how much a small increase in the deductible will help you out.

Online Insurance Quotes are a quick and easy way to compare insurance online! We suggest 247QuoteUS.com because they explain the various types of home insurance, like homeowners insurance, renters insurance, landlord insurance, and condo owners insurance. They also use an online home insurance system that runs on a secure system, has a stated privacy, and works with the BBB online program.

Cheaper Cars To Insurance

The good folks at 247QuoteUS.com have posted an interesting article about what makes a car cheaper to insure. Of course it all has to do with the statistics that insurance companies have on different cars, and on those cars with safety features. The important points are car safety, technology, possiblity of theft, and how easy the cars are to repair if they should be damaged.

As we know, and as the article points out, the actual car is not the only factor in a premium payment. Actually - I would imagine - the driver's history (or lack of one) plays a much bigger role. If you've ever put a teenager on your auto insurance policy you will know what I mean!

Life Insurance Buying Guide

I surfed around and found a life insurance buying guide on Squidoo!

Sometimes Squidoo Lenses (if you aren't familiar with the term) just contains thinly disguised ads, but this one contained links to all sorts of good information for insurance shoppers - including insurance calculators, consumer insurance shopping tips, and more.

Squidoo Lenses are simply one page websites that individuals put up on topics they are interested in. It looks like an insurance agent did this one.

Annuity Shopping Guide

Annuities can be a wonderful investment vehicle for everybody from young savers to senior citizens. They offer the advantage of tax deferred growth, and some tax qualified annuities even allow you to tax defer your contributions. Furthermore, man annuities offer a guarantee on your principle, and some with even a stated return rate. In addition, the top end can be tied to common stock market indicators, so your average returns will be much higher than with a savings account or CD.

Furthermore, a younger person can make periodic contributions to a deferred annuity to build wealth for retirement. A retiree can purchase an immediate annuity to roll over funds and receive monthly payments. Since annuities are flexible, offer good returns, investment safety, and tax benefits, they have become a popular investment.

However, you still need to shop carefully. Some annuities are front loaded, which means that your principal will decrease the minute you invest. If they are not front, loaded they wil certainly come with a surrender charge. In other words, you will incur a charge of a decreasing percentage of your investment if you withdraw your funds before an agreed upon length of time has passed.

Furthermore, even though many annuities guarantee your principal, some do not. Make certain that you understand which type of annuity you are buying before you purchase. Your stage in life, the amount you have to invest, and your risk tolerance will determine which product is right for you.

Discount Car Insurance -- The True Cost

The true cost of discount car insurance may not be in the premiums. I just had a minor car accident, and I'm so happy that I did not succumb to the temptation to switch to a cheaper plan a few weeks ago! I have not had an accident for a long time, but I had been judged at fault in this one. Nobody was hurt, but my car had about $1500 of damage, plus the truck I backed into had some minor damage.

I kept my comprehensive coverage, despite the fact that my car is a few years old and paid for. (Yeah for paid off cars!). I also made sure my insurance covered a rental car for the time my own vehicle spent in the body shop. I did raise my deductible to $500 - but I knew that while the expense would annoy me, it was an amount I could afford.

Anyway, I got my car fixed with very little inconvenience. The adjuster even worked with me on the car rental situation because I planned to be on vacation for a few days after my car was scheduled to be fixed.

Now I could have saved $20 a month by switching to Brand X, but if I had given up my collision insurance and only kept liability that decision would have cost me $1000! In addition, I would not have had rental car coverage, so I would have been without wheels or spent another $400 on a rental myself.

I would have to pay premiums for several months to save $1400! Think about your situation before you cut out benefits to save a few dollars every month!
