Believe it or not, my most common question is: How do I get information about the maternity card?
There is a very good way to do this. Since I don't work for affordable health care options, I cannot give plan details. I just know that it is a benefit plan for those who are already pregnant, without maternity coverage, or who do not have very comprehensive maternity coverage.
Some clients were unable to get into a doctor without the help of Affordable Health Care options because they did not have health insurance - sad state of affairs, I know!
This is what you do:
1. Go to this site:
http://www.ahco.biz/19806
2. Click Health Programs (Brown button in the middle of the page).
3. Click ENROLL at the top of the page (No, you don't have to enroll!)
4. Click THE MATERNITY CARD
6. Then you will see a form to fill in your contact information.
A representative will call or email you very quickly during a business day (Mon - Fri). If you fill in your info on the week-end, you will have to wait until Monday.
The program is a negotiated network program, and it can save you lots of money if you don't have health insurance, or if your insurance doesn't cover pregnancy, or if it doesn't cover it very well. They will also be able to direct you to qualified doctors in your area for service.
